Good: The LG 60PH6700 offers decent value with a large screen and a lot of features for a little over a grand; shadow detail and color performance are excellent; some of the best audio from a TV at this price; the Magic Motion remote is fun; cable box control works very well.
Bad: Black levels are poor compared with both LCDs and plasmas at the same price. The screen lacks a bright-room filter and picture suffers in the light, and 3D glasses aren't included in the package.
Bottom Line: The LG 60PH6700 offers plenty of extras and a mostly good picture but the plasma competition is a little too fierce. [Read more]

Good: The Acer C710-2457 is the least expensive Chromebook on the Google Play store, and comes with a set of base features competitive with Samsung's $250 Chromebook.
Bad: Cheap-feeling Netbook-like construction, small touch pad, limited battery life and unimpressive display and speakers; plus, Chrome OS is inherently limiting for offline use and isn't as versatile as a traditional PC. Meager 16GB of onboard SSD storage.
Bottom Line: If you want one of the least expensive Web-browsing devices that feels like a laptop but is really a Chromebook, the Acer C7's fine. But its limitations match its price. [Read more]

Good: The Timbuk2 Informant camera sling gives you a lot of room in very little space. It's more comfortable to wear than a messenger-style camera bag, but gives you the easy access you get from a shoulder- or sling-style camera bag. It has room for a 10-inch tablet or 11-inch laptop.
Bad: There are no silencers for the front hook-and-loop closures (and they are loud when opening), and the strap isn't removable.
Bottom Line: A pretty great grab-and-go camera bag, the Timbuk2 Informant camera sling is a perfect fit for dSLR or mirrorless camera users who want a lot of storage in a little bag. [Read more]

Good: A Ride Into the Mountains uses simple graphics to create an intriguing storyline, offering challenging gameplay as you fight your way through several levels.
Bad: The control system can get pretty crowded on a smartphone, making it much less playable than on a tablet.
Bottom Line: Aside from some control issues, A Ride Into the Mountains is a very impressive game that makes the most of old-school graphics by creating a compelling storyline. [Read more]
