Posted: 30 Aug 2013 10:46 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: HTC's One Mini has a striking design, Android 4.2.2, terrific external speakers, and a strong midtier feature set. Bad: The diet version of the One has 16GB of internal storage with no option to expand, and lacks NFC. Bottom Line: Even with its scaled-down specs, the HTC One Mini is a go-to performer with style to match. [Read more] |
Posted: 30 Aug 2013 08:05 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The 2014 Hyundai Equus shows drivers blind-spot warnings and route guidance on its head-up display. The stereo produces remarkably good sound. An air suspension gives the car very smooth ride quality. Bad: Fuel economy averages well below 20 mpg. The interface for the cabin electronics can be confusing, and Hyundai has not integrated any apps, such as Pandora. Bottom Line: A big, powerful, luxury cruiser, the 2014 Hyundai Equus competes very well among stalwarts in the segment, undercutting most in price, and offers some unique tech features to help the driver. Posted: 30 Aug 2013 06:07 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Nokia Lumia 625's 4.7-inch screen makes for effortless viewing, and the $300 price tag its wallet-friendly for an unlocked phone. Depending on your area, it also supports LTE. Bad: For a phone of its size, the Lumia 625's too-low resolution is fuzzy and dull compared to premium Lumias. The 625's 5-megapixel camera struggles taking photos in the shade. Bottom Line: Despite a few faults, the Lumia 625's smooth, higher-end design and solid performance make it a great value for the price. [Read more] |
