Good: The Oontz XL offers better sound than similarly priced mini Bluetooth speakers. It's attractively styled and includes speakerphone capabilities and USB charging for smartphones. Battery life is also good (over 10 hours at more moderate volumes).
Bad: Doesn't play incredibly loud; AC adapter is required to power/charge the unit (rather than a 5V Micro-USB charger).
Bottom Line: While it doesn't sound as good as its more expensive rivals, the Cambridge SoundWorks Oontz XL is the best big Bluetooth speaker you can get for under $100. [Read more]

Good: Samsung's Ativ S Neo is an attractive Windows Phone 8 handset with a large screen and more native camera extras than other Windows phones.
Bad: The Ativ S Neo is slow, heavy, and has a weak image quality.
Bottom Line: Though it's an unexceptional smartphone overall, the middle-of-the-road Samsung Ativ S Neo is a safe choice for those who shop by price. [Read more]

Good: The waterproof Casio G'zOne Commando 4G LTE has fast 4G speeds, good call quality, dual front-facing speakers, and useful preloaded apps for the outdoors.
Bad: Its bulky build, poor photo quality, and outdated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS drag down performance.
Bottom Line: The Casio G'zOne Commando 4G LTE is an excellent and affordable rugged handset, but skip it if taking great pictures is a priority. [Read more]

Good: The Vizio CT15T-B1 is an attractive laptop with an excellent display, very good performance for its class, and excellent battery life. It also has 802.11ac Wi-Fi for the best wireless performance and it's a bloatware-free Microsoft Signature computer.
Bad: The CT15T-B1 doesn't have an SD card reader or a backlit keyboard. The touchpad's software support is minimal compared with competing models. Frequent travelers might find it too heavy.
Bottom Line: The Vizio CT15T-B1 is a thin, nice-looking laptop with plenty of performance and battery life. But for the money, the package should be a little more complete. [Read more]
