Good: For a mobile video editor WeVideo has an incredibly simple interface with basic tools that work well. Plus, it syncs to the cloud, so you can access and even edit your projects from your computer.
Bad: The app lacks any sort of audio-editing features, which makes it almost impossible to sync with music. Also, a tool for adjusting video and audio speeds would be a welcome addition, as would be customizable themes.
Bottom Line: For a dead simple editor that can put together video clips in a flash, WeVideo impresses. But know that it lacks any truly powerful tools to make granular edits. For those, you'll have to upload your project to the Web and finish from a computer. [Read more]

Asus Memo Pad ME172V (gray)

Good: The Asus Memo Pad ME172V carries a low $140 price and its storage can be expanded through a built-in microSD slot.
Bad: The screen's low resolution produces only fuzzy text, and its painfully narrow viewing angle hides detail. Overall system performance is slow, and the tablet crashes when attempting to run some of the latest games. It also burns through battery life quickly and isn't as comfortable to hold as the Nexus 7.
Bottom Line: The Asus Memo Pad ME172V won't set you back a ton, but with much better choices only $60 away, you should simply pay more now and regret less later. [Read more]

Denon AVR-E400

User Rating:
Good: The Denon AVR-E400 has made some real strides in making AV receivers easier to use, with an onscreen Setup Assistant, push-in speaker connectors, and a simpler remote. Its six HDMI inputs should be enough for nearly all home theaters, plus it has a respectable suite of streaming-audio services, including AirPlay, DLNA, Pandora, Spotify, and Internet radio. The AVR-E400 also offers the same solid sound quality we've come to expect from Denon.
Bad: There's no Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, which both offer a lot of convenience and are available on the less expensive Onkyo TX-NR626. The step-down AVR-E300 is also a better value for most buyers and includes all the new ease-of-use features. And the AVR-E400's bulky design is hard to overlook when Marantz's NR1403 is nearly half the size.
Bottom Line: Denon's AVR-E400 makes some progress simplifying the arduous AV receiver setup process, but it lacks convenient wireless features you'd expect at this price. [Read more]

Good: Reasonable price; incredibly good picture quality with exceedingly deep black levels, great shadow detail, accurate colors, solid bright-room performance, and superb off-angle and uniformity characteristics; sleek styling with metal accents; plenty of Smart TV content; includes two pair of 3D glasses.
Bad: More 3D crosstalk than some competing TVs; not as suited to extremely bright rooms as some LCD models; consumes more power than LCD TVs.

Good: Stay Alight! is a unique twist on Angry Birds type games, with good-looking graphics, excellent physics, and plenty of levels to challenge you.
Bad: With no introductions to anything, it's difficult to figure out what's going on, what the different bullet types do, and why you're building a puzzle.
Bottom Line: Despite the lack of information about several elements of the game, Stay Alight is pretty fun, with good-looking graphics, good audio, and realistic physics. With a little more info about the story and description of game elements, this could be very good game. [Read more]

Good: An attractive design, solid specs, and a responsive touch screen in a sub-$700 price.
Bad: Bigger and heavier than most ultrabooks; no extra added graphics or DVD drive; screen isn't full-HD.

User Rating:
Good: The Revo Wireless has an excellent fit and finish, is comfortable to wear, folds up into a more compact form factor for storage, and as decent though not great sound for a wireless Bluetooth headphones. It also features touch controls and NFC pairing for devices that support it.
Bad: Sound should be a bit cleaner at this price point; protective carrying case should be more luxurious.
Bottom Line: Despite some small flaws in sound quality and a somewhat high price, superior comfort and design help the Revo Wireless distinguish itself from its Bluetooth headphone competitors. [Read more]
