Good: The Dayton Audio B652 bookshelf speakers sound great and are available for under $50.
Bad: The Daytons aren't the most attractive speakers you'll see. The spring-clip connectors don't securely grip the speaker wire, so an inadvertent tug might yank it out.
Bottom Line: The Dayton Audio B652 speakers are the best-sounding stereo speakers you can buy for under $50. [Read more]

Good: The Toshiba Satellite L755-S5166 covers all bases of what constitutes a decent laptop experience, for the most part.
Bad: For about the same price, alternatives are out there that offer bigger bang, and better processors, for the buck. This machine excels at little, and it's bulky, too.
Bottom Line: The Toshiba Satellite L755-S5166 is neither the best value nor the best total package, but it's a fine middle-of-the-road laptop. However, odds are that better, newer versions are right around the corner. [Read more]

Good: The Sony SS-B1000 Bookshelf Speakers are attractively styled and deliver impressive sound for their modest price.
Bad: Sound could be more detailed, with better-defined bass.
Bottom Line: The Sony SS-B1000 Bookshelf Speakers may not quite win the budget-bookshelf-speaker battle, but they do deliver quite decent sound for the money. [Read more]

Good: Sleek and attractive, the Fitbit Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale is easy to install. It also integrates well with Fitbit's powerful cloud-based fitness tools.
Bad: $130 is a lot to pay for a scale. Support for third-party apps isn't as strong as for other devices.
Bottom Line: If you can afford it, the $129.95 Aria Wi-Fi scale adds real-time weight tracking to Fitbit's fitness arsenal. [Read more]

Good: The Griffin SmartTalk Solar automatically turns itself on and off when you enter and exit the vehicle. Simple Bluetooth pairing eliminates the need to enter a PIN. A solar cell allows the SmartTalk Solar to charge itself in direct sunlight.
Bad: Outside of the solar-charging gimmick, this is a very basic Bluetooth speakerphone with no advanced features.
Bottom Line: The power of the sun means that you'll never have to think about charging the Griffin SmartTalk Solar. [Read more]
