Good: The Onkyo TX-NR616 is feature-packed, with eight HDMI inputs, dual HDMI outputs, built-in networking, and extensive streaming audio support, including Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody, and Internet radio. Wi-Fi functionality can be added with a tiny, inexpensive USB adapter. And the TX-NR616's street price is consistently well below its competitors.
Bad: Some users have complained about reliability problems. The eighth HDMI input cannot be accessed via direct button, only by navigating menus. And the TX-NR616 lacks built-in AirPlay.
Bottom Line: The Onkyo TX-NR616 is a tremendous AV receiver value, with eight HDMI inputs and a very low street price, although Onkyo's step-down models may be an even better buy. [Read more]

Good: The 11-inch Sony Vaio E has a sharp design at a budget price, plus decent graphics and good battery life.
Bad: This 11-inch laptop is thicker and heavier than many 13-inch models. The slow CPU isn't for everyone.
Bottom Line: With only a handful of 11-inch laptops still available, serious travelers are flocking to ultrathin 13-inch models instead. But the low price and good battery life of the Sony Vaio E keep it from being counted out. [Read more]

Good: The preconfigured Digital Storm Ode V2 Level 4 has everything you expect to find in a high-end gaming desktop.
Bad: The chassis, from last year, no longer has that exotic boutique gaming feel to it.
Bottom Line: Most gamers would change very little about Digital Storm's preconfigured Ode V2 Level 4. [Read more]
