Good: The HTC One V is affordable, compact, and elegant, and runs Android 4.0 and Sense 4. It has a nimble camera and colorful screen.
Bad: A slow processor and pokey 3G data hold the One V back.
Bottom Line: The HTC One V's premium design is fashionable but demanding Android fans should steer clear of this phone's poor performance. [Read more]

Good: The Sound ID Six has a clean design and comes with three ear loop sizes and an app for easy customization and setup.
Bad: The Six's sound quality is disappointing, the mute function takes too long to activate, and I kept hearing a tapping noise in the background.
Bottom Line: Though the Sound ID Six comes with a few interesting customization options, its $99.99 price tag is too high for its underwhelming performance. [Read more]

User Rating:
Good: Musubo's Ripple case design is unique and affordable, and the case did its job protecting the phone.
Bad: The lime green color discolored quickly in the bag, and the design doesn't have the most comfortable in-hand feel.
Bottom Line: Musubo's Ripple case for iPhone 4/4S will attract some people with its design, but unless you're the type to polish your case daily, better stick to darker shades or move on. [Read more]

Good: The Securifi Almond router's performance is just about average and it's lacking in features. You can't use the touch screen to manage all of its settings and the Web interface is rather buggy.
Bad: The Securifi Almond's performance is just about average. You can't use the touch screen to manage all of its settings and its Web interface is also rather buggy.
Bottom Line: The Securifi Almond's touch-screen novelty, while it works great, is not enough to make up for the lack of features and performance as well as the price tag. [Read more]

Samsung Series 9 (13-inch, 2012) NP900X3C-A01

Posted: 20 Jul 2012 06:53 PM PDT

Editor's Rating:
User Rating:
Good: The new 13-inch Samsung Series 9 is incredibly light and thin, with excellent battery life, and a bright matte 1,600x900-pixel screen.
Bad: It lacks bells and whistles (discrete graphics, more storage, faster processor) seen in higher-end Windows ultrabooks, and the base model costs $100 more than a MacBook Air.
Bottom Line: If you're looking for a beautifully built, extremely thin, light, and portable ultrabook, the Samsung Series 9 rises above the competition. It may lack a few top-end features, but it's a perfect ultraportable for those who can afford it. [Read more]
