Posted: 25 Oct 2013 01:19 AM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The competitively priced ZTE Nubia 5 has a polished design, a sharp camera, and a crisp 1080p screen. Bad: The handset lacks LTE and storage gluttons won't dig the device's lack of expandable memory. Bottom Line: Although it doesn't have LTE, the ZTE Nubia 5's impressive specs and reliable performance make it a great value for an unlocked, high-end phone. [Read more] |
Posted: 25 Oct 2013 12:43 AM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: Mac OS X Mavericks gives you new apps, streamlines familiar features, and adds battery life for laptop users with better power efficiency. Bad: Older features like Gatekeeper and Launchpad could have used some renovations, but were left untouched in Mavericks. Bottom Line: As a free upgrade that gives you more apps, improved features across the board, and better performance, there is really no reason not to get Mavericks on your Mac. [Read more] |
Posted: 24 Oct 2013 11:10 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Olympus OM-D E-M1 is a great, feature-packed and weather-sealed camera that's fast and delivers high-quality photos and videos. Bad: The out-of-the-box JPEG quality could be better and the sheer number of configuration options can at best test your memory and at worst, overwhelm. It deserves a better manual, as well as a second card slot. Bottom Line: One of the fastest, most feature-laden cameras you can buy for less than $1,500, you really need to spend some quality time going through all the settings before using the Olympus OM-D E-M1. It also has long battery life, clean call quality, and solid construction. Bad: The ZTE Warp 4G's processor is slow, and its camera struggles under low light. Posted: 17 Oct 2013 01:00 AM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: Anki Drive's racers effortlessly pair with and are controlled by compatible iOS devices running the host app via Bluetooth LE. The app's AI guides cars around the included track. The cars charge quickly in their stations. Bad: Only one track configuration is available. Cars can't avoid nonplayer obstructions, so keep your toes clear of the track. At time of review, only one race mode is available.
