Good: Riptide GP 2 is an excellent sequel to the original, with dynamic wave physics, different game types, and tons of tracks to race.
Bad: Online multiplayer only lets you race one-on-one. There are no forward and back tilt controls.
Bottom Line: Racing fans should buy this game for its excellent graphics, realistic physics, and rock-solid gameplay. [Read more]

Google Chromecast

Good: The Google Chromecast is a dirt-cheap wireless video dongle that streams Netflix and YouTube to your TV using Android or iOS tablets as remotes, with Android users also getting access to Google Music and Google TV and Movies. Its small size hides neatly behind your TV and makes it easy to take on-the-go.
Bad: The beta screen-mirroring feature won't work as well as you want it to, so you're largely limited to four apps and without support for several major ones, including Amazon Instant, HBO Go, MLB.TV, Spotify, and Rdio. The lack of a dedicated remote also means you always need a smartphone or tablet nearby.
Bottom Line: Google's $35 Chromecast streaming-TV dongle is certainly cheap, but its limited initial app support and total reliance on mobile devices keep it well behind the Apple TV and Roku -- at least for now. [Read more]

Good: The Nexus 7's razor-sharp full-HD screen, silky-smooth performance, meager weight, and affordable price make it the best tablet value on the market.
Bad: The back is missing the soft grippy texture of the original, screen colors lack accuracy, and there's no microSD support. Android 4.3 has few useful interface improvements.
Bottom Line: Thanks to its stellar performance and affordable price, the Nexus 7 is the Android tablet to get. [Read more]

Nikon Coolpix AW110 (Camouflage)

User Rating:
Good: The Nikon Coolpix AW110 is rated to survive being underwater down to 59 feet and drops of up to 6.6 feet along with being freezeproof and dustproof; has built-in GPS for geotagging among other things and Wi-Fi for easy shooting and sharing with iOS and Android devices. It is well priced considering its features and durability specs.
Bad: While its shooting performance is good, the camera's spongy buttons might slow you down a bit and the camera's slow lens requires a lot of light to get the best shots.
Bottom Line: If you're looking for a rugged camera, but don't want sacrifice on-the-go sharing, the Nikon Coolpix AW110 is a good place to start. [Read more]
