Good: The LG Optimus F3 is free under contract, has long-lasting battery life, and comes with Google's TalkBack feature for the visually impaired.
Bad: The Optimus F3 showed inconsistent 4G data performance and call quality was mediocre.
Bottom Line: If you're looking for a compact Android handset, the LG Optimus F3 will satisfy, but Sprint offers plenty of better free smartphones. [Read more]

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (8-inch, gold-brown)

User Rating:
Good: The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3's light, comfortable design, myriad useful features, and bright colorful screen makes the 8-incher one of the best small tablets on the market.
Bad: A price of $300 is a lot for any small tablet, and some features like Smart Stay and Watch On's search don't work as well as intended.
Bottom Line: It costs a bit more than we'd like, but the Galaxy Tab 3 is Samsung's best non-Note tablet yet. [Read more]

Good: Tiny Thief blends platform-style gameplay with mind-bending puzzles. The controls are dead-simple and graphics are charming.
Bad: The $2.99 price tag will be a turnoff for all but the most hardcore puzzle lovers. The slow pace of the game can get annoying.
Bottom Line: If you love platform-style puzzle games that require substantial brainpower, then Tiny Thief is a worthwhile purchase, even with its $2.99 price tag. [Read more]

Logitech Bluetooth Speakers Z600

Editor's Rating:
User Rating:
Good: Logitech's Bluetooth Speakers Z600 stream audio wirelessly and can connect to up to three Bluetooth-enabled devices at once, making switching the sound output between the devices easy. The speakers sound good at more modest volume levels, and they come with a USB dongle for guaranteed compatibility with nearly all recent Windows and Mac computers.
Bad: The Z600s play loud, but they just don't output a lot of bass at higher volumes.
Bottom Line: Logitech's well-designed Z600 wireless Bluetooth speakers deliver true stereo separation and good sound -- so long as you don't crank the volume too much. [Read more]

2014 Kia Forte EX sedan

User Rating:
Good: The 2014 Kia Forte EX offers both the great Uvo voice command system and a navigation option that is responsive and crisply rendered. The standard amenities and equipped packages give the Forte a premium-car feel at an economy-car price.
Bad: The stock audio system didn't impress and a premium stereo isn't available. The Uvo eServices telematics don't feel as fleshed-out as competing systems.
Bottom Line: The 2014 Kia Forte EX has greatly improved its cabin tech and amenities for this generation, but it's priced to compete with models that, frankly, offer much better performance. [Read more]

User Rating:
Good: The Facebook for Windows Phone app has a sharp, clean design and is easy to navigate.
Bad: It's laggy at times and is missing Facebook group chat and games.
Bottom Line: The slick and easy-to-use design makes Facebook for Windows Phone 8 a worthy free download, but the lack of key features will disappoint power users. [Read more]

Dell XPS 27 all-in-one desktop computer

Editor's Rating:
User Rating:
Good: The updated Dell XPS 27 is highlighted by excellent performance and features, plus a higher-than-1080p touch screen, Nvidia graphics, and Intel's latest fourth-gen CPUs. An HDMI input lets it double as a display for a game console or cable box.
Bad: The main benefit of Intel's new chips, amazing battery life, isn't applicable here. The adjustable stand could offer more flexibility.
Bottom Line: As a big-screen upscale all-in-one with touch and decent gaming chops, the latest version of Dell's XPS 27 is a great all-around home PC that covers a lot of bases. [Read more]

Good: The Withings Pulse packs a pedometer, heart rate monitor, and sleep tracker into a tiny little black slab that syncs wirelessly with Android devices and iPhones. It also supports lots of connected apps.
Bad: Can't read screen in direct sunlight; no Windows or Mac syncing; not water-resistant.

Good: Groopic is a fun app that lets you put yourself in a group picture, add filters, and share it with friends.
Bad: There's a lot of shutter lag from when you touch the button to when a picture is taken.
Bottom Line: Groopic is a must-have for getting the photographer into a group shot, with an easy-to-understand process, filters to spice up your picture, and mostly flawless results. [Read more]
