Good: The Toshiba Excite 10 LE is the thinnest, lightest 10-inch tablet yet, an achievement made more impressive by the inclusion of HDMI, Micro-USB, and microSD memory expansion.
Bad: The proprietary charging adapter is a beast; the screen is so-so; the internal speakers sound thin; and the construction quality looks better than it feels.
Bottom Line: The Toshiba Excite 10 LE sets a new design standard for thin and light 10-inch tablets, but the specs don't live up to the name. [Read more]

Good: The Huawei Pinnacle's portrait QWERTY layout is familiar and easy on the eye. It presents a straightforward user interface and some extra goodies like a music player and the ability to create folders.
Bad: Call quality on the Pinnacle was mediocre, there are a few design flaws here and there, and the phone is a little sluggish. Video quality also tanked.
Bottom Line: On the strength of its budget price, its user interface, and its tools, the Huawei Pinnacle is a good choice for those who plan to use the phone primarily for texting and personal organization. However, some flaws, like mediocre call quality, cast a shadow on this QWERTY cell phone. [Read more]

Good: The Vizio E2VLE delivers plenty of features for the price, including a 120Hz refresh rate, Smart TV and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. Its streaming video and audio selection is excellent. It evinced accurate colors and its matte screen helps picture fidelity in bright rooms.
Bad: Compared with other budget TVs the 32VLE showed even lighter black levels, and it failed to properly handle 1080p/24 sources. Its Smart TV interface can seem dated, as can its styling, eben for a non-LED-based LCD TV.
Bottom Line: The Vizio E2VLE series may appeal to budget shoppers who just want Smart TV, but subpar picture quality hurts its chances against the tough competition. [Read more]

Good: The Nikon Coolpix P510 is a fun camera to shoot with, overflowing with photo and movie features, and backed by very fast shooting performance and excellent low-ISO photo quality.
Bad: The P510 has trouble focusing at the telephoto end and its low-light/high-ISO photo quality has room for improvement. Also, the camera feels cheaply constructed.
Bottom Line: The Nikon Coolpix P510 is easy to recommend for its features, photos, and performance, but the usefulness of a 42x zoom lens is debatable. [Read more]

Good: The true dual-band Asus RT-N66U Dark Knight Double 450Mbps N Router offers excellent coverage, stable wireless signals, and stellar data rates on the 5GHz band. The router comes with a generous feature set and can also work as a standalone VPN server.
Bad: The RT-N66U's firmware is a little buggy and its data rate on the 2.4GHz band could use some improvement. The router's USB ports don't support the USB 3.0 standard.
Bottom Line: Though not perfect, the Asus RT-N66U Dark Knight Double 450Mbps N Router would make an excellent network gateway for home and small-office environments. [Read more]
