Good: A page full of acronyms describes the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S' handling technology, which gives the car effortless cornering. The engine and dual clutch transmission bring in decent fuel economy and impressive acceleration.
Bad: Besides traffic data, there are no connected elements to the car's cabin electronics. Driver assistance features only go as far as park distance sensors.
Bottom Line: The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S combines technology and traditional sport car principles to deliver an excellent driving experience. The cabin electronics won't disappoint, but neither will they wow. [Read more]

Good: The LiveViewGPS Live Trac EZ uses your vehicle's OBD connection, a GSM data connection, and a GPS receiver to provide vehicle tracking. Users can monitor vehicle position, speed, ignition state, and fuel level and economy from a map-based Web site. There's no battery to recharge or wires to splice during installation; simply plug in and go.
Bad: We experienced a connectivity issue that may compromise the Live Trac EZ's ability to be used as a vehicle security measure. LiveViewGPS' Web interface isn't the most intuitive that we've tested.
Bottom Line: The Live Trac EZ is one of the simplest GPS vehicle trackers that we've tested, providing plug-and-play monitoring and notifications for a reasonable price. [Read more]

Good: The Samsung WB150F has built-in Wi-Fi that's easily set up for wireless sharing and backup. It has an abundant set of shooting and editing options.
Bad: Samsung's smartphone apps are only guaranteed to work with Samsung Galaxy devices and its autobackup software is Windows-only. The camera's photo quality is barely better than a smartphone's and its shooting performance is somewhat slow.
Bottom Line: If you're happy with the photos from your smartphone, but wish you had an actual camera with a long zoom lens and wireless sharing and backup, check out the Samsung WB150F. [Read more]

User Rating:
Good: HP's new Pavilion HPE Phoenix h9z can at least boast decent expandability and a competitive set of connectivity options.
Bad: HP's latest attempt at a gaming PC fails due to its back-of-the-pack performance compared with other gaming desktops in this price range.
Bottom Line: Slower than all of its competition, the HP Pavilion HPE Phoenix h90z is impossible to recommend. [Read more]

Toshiba Portege Z835-P370

Good: The Toshiba Portege Z835 offers more configuration options than most ultrabooks, and includes features, such as an Ethernet port, left out of other models.
Bad: The design worked fine on the least expensive ultrabook, but this more-expensive version doesn't look and feel as nice as the competition.
Bottom Line: The original Toshiba Portege Z835 was a fantastic value that helped us overlook a weak touch pad/keyboard combo. This faster version is about $200 more, but keeps the same so-so design. [Read more]

Bad: The 110 HS has a relatively short battery life, mixed shooting performance, and low-light/high-ISO photos can look very soft.

User Rating:
Good: The HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One is ready for high-volume printing needs with an ample 250-sheet paper input capacity, autoduplexing, cloud printing, and a host of versatile connectivity options.
Bad: The autodocument feeder can't duplex double-sided originals for scanning and the smaller touch screen requires more patience to operate than the 8600 Plus and 8600 Premium.
Bottom Line: The Officejet Pro 8600 anchors HP's flagship printing line with capable performance, ample connectivity options, and enough cloud-printing tools to ensure its long-term usefulness. [Read more]
