Belkin Advance N900 DB Wireless Dual-Band N+ Router Posted: 28 Mar 2012 06:54 AM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The good-looking Belkin Advance N900 DB Wireless Dual-Band N+ Router has fast wireless speed and long range. The router comes with two USB ports to host printers or external storage. Bad: The comparatively expensive Belkin Advance N900 DB Wireless Dual-Band N+ Router's advanced features are not well-thought-out and most require software to work. The router's design, though eye-catching, is not practical, and its USB ports don't support USB 3.0. Bottom Line: The Advance N900 DB Wireless Dual-Band N+ Router is one of the best Belkin routers in a long time. Compared with others on the market, it's also a decent choice if you need a fast and robust home network. [Read more] |
Posted: 13 Mar 2012 06:39 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The 2012 Jaguar XKR-S makes great power with its supercharged V-8 engine and backs it up with fantastic, grippy handling. The Bowers & Wilkins audio system offers balanced sound and nearly unflappable power. Slinky styling and a throaty exhaust make this Jaguar nearly as nice to watch from the outside as it is to drive. Bad: The infotainment system seems grossly outdated, featuring odd organization and slow screen transitions. Lack of Bluetooth streaming and an analog audio connection locks non-iPhone users out of listening to digital audio on their smartphones. Bottom Line: The irony is that the 2012 Jaguar XKR-S' allure as the "the fastest, most powerful production Jaguar model ever sold" is less about powerful performance than it is about making a powerful statement. Posted: 11 Jan 2012 08:17 AM PST Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The affordable Panasonic TC-PST50 series exhibited outstanding overall picture quality, characterized by exceedingly deep black levels with great shadow detail, accurate colors, and solid bright-room performance. Unlike LCDs, as a plasma it has superb off-angle and uniformity characteristics. The styling is attractive and the feature set well-chosen, including excellent onscreen help options. Bad: The ST50 uses more power than competing LCD TVs, and doesn't perform as well in bright rooms as those with matte screens. It doesn't include 3D glasses, and 3D picture quality showed more crosstalk than many competitors' models. The ST50 is only available in 50-inch and larger sizes. Three HDMI inputs is one fewer than most midrange TVs offer. Bottom Line: With flagship-level picture quality for a midlevel price, the Panasonic ST50 series sets the value standard among videophile-grade TVs. [Read more] |
