Good: With its unique gesture-based interface, Snapseed for Android offers an incredible level of control over its effects and filters.
Bad: The tools and interface aren't intuitive, so it could take a while to get familiarized. Also, the lack of a zoom function makes it difficult to see finer adjustments.
Bottom Line: If you're a more serious mobile photographer looking for an app to fine-tune your photos with, Snapseed is your best choice. [Read more]

JayBird Gear BlueBuds X

Good: The JayBird Gear BlueBuds X Bluetooth wireless earphones have a compact, lightweight design, fit securely, and sound very good for Bluetooth headphones. They're also sweat-resistant and have an inline remote and microphone for making calls.
Bad: They're expensive and their cord management system is a little kludgy. Also, they may not fit everyone equally well -- and a tight seal is imperative for getting better sound quality.
Bottom Line: The Jaybird BlueBuds X are impressively small wireless sports earphones that offer a secure fit -- but the $170 just feels too expensive. [Read more]

Good: The Asus PB278Q offers a sharp extreme-definition screen, rich color, accurate presets, and useful ergonomic options at a good price.
Bad: The monitor lacks USB inputs and its swivel mechanism is poorly implemented.
Bottom Line: Well-priced and powerful, the Asus PB278Q is the best entry point for those seeking an extreme-definition monitor at a not-so-extreme price. [Read more]

Asus VivoBook S400CA

Good: The Asus VivoBook S400CA is a reasonably priced 14-inch laptop with a touch screen, and a solid, mostly metal body.
Bad: An uncomfortably mushy keyboard, a lower-resolution display, and unimpressive battery life make this laptop feel like a series of compromises.
Bottom Line: You get a decent 14-inch laptop package in the Asus VivoBook, especially given that it has a touch screen, but it doesn't add up to anything particularly impressive that you can't get elsewhere either with better design or for a lower price. [Read more]

Good: The Sennheiser HD 700 is a large, full-size audiophile headphone model with a wide-open sound profile and transparency that sounds great on digital music players.
Bad: The HD 700 is very expensive, so some buyers might be put off by the amount of plastic used in the design.
Bottom Line: Sennheiser's HD 700 isn't just one of the best-sounding headphone models we've tested, it's also remarkably comfortable to wear for hours at a time. [Read more]

Sharp Quattron LC-60LE847U

User Rating:
Good: The Sharp LC-LE847U series delivers relatively accurate color and a matte screen that works well in bright rooms. The no-nonsense black metal design has a higher-end feel. Its feature set includes excellent help and support options, built-in Wi-Fi, and a remote with three programmable keys for easy access to favorite apps.
Bad: This high-end Sharp has middling picture quality. It showed lighter black levels than its less expensive sibling, especially obvious in dark scenes under home theater lighting. The extra yellow pixel of Quattron has no positive impact, and the image showed a bluish cast in dark areas. The Sharp also failed to properly handle film-based (1080p/24) sources, causing slight stutter in certain scenes. 3D glasses cost $50 each and are not included.
Bottom Line: Since they don't come with improved picture quality, the extra features of the Sharp LC-LE847U series aren't worth the extra money it demands. [Read more]

2013 Chevrolet Spark

User Rating:
Good: The 2013 Chevrolet Spark integrates navigation into its dashboard running off of a smartphone. OnStar provides a number of emergency and concierge services. Fuel economy is in the mid-30s.
Bad: The Bluetooth streaming tech can't handle phone calls and audio streaming from the same device. Voice command is limited to the hands-free phone system. You get slow starts and limited passing ability thanks to the 84 horsepower.
Bottom Line: The 2013 Chevrolet Spark includes some intriguing features for its price, but bizarre limitations in the cabin electronics and low horsepower create too many compromises. [Read more]
