If you use Apple's Aperture professional photo management program for OS X, then a new update is available that addresses a number of bugs with the previous release.

The update focuses around managing content from shared photo streams, including detecting faces, managing where streams are shared, and incorporating more cross-stream content management.

In addition to stream focus, the update fixes a number of problems with metadata management, resolution and use of secondary displays, and color profile management. The full list of addressed features is the following:

  • Photos received via My Photo Stream or shared streams can now be added directly to other shared streams.
  • Multiple e-mail addresses can now be copied and pasted in the "Shared with" field for shared streams.
  • When more than five subscribers "Like" a photo in a shared stream, all their names are now displayed correctly.
  • The Info panel for a shared stream now includes an Unsubscribe button.
  • The status line in the toolstrip now displays the number of new photos added to a shared stream.
  • Faces are now properly detected on photos imported into a library from a shared stream.
  • Adjusted photos added to shared streams are now published with EXIF metadata properly preserved.
  • Addresses the reliability... [Read more]

Tracking is basically the way that Webmasters and advertisers learn about your Web browsing habits. This is where "related ads" come from, despite them not being entirely accurate the majority of the time. Turning on this feature for Firefox will send a request to avoid tracking for each Web site you visit. You might be thinking, "If some Web sites ignore the request, what's the point?" Well, what about the ones that adhere to the request? Each of these Web sites is still one fewer company tracking your information. Read on to find out how to enable Do Not Track in Firefox.

To win each battle, players must build armies to take over enemy structures and defend their own. At the start of each battle, users are given funds to build factories or defensive turrets to fight off ground and air units. Each building is upgradeable; investing in a factory, for example, lets you get upgrades for your armies and even build more advanced units later down the line.

The building and upgrading system boils down to two hammer icons located on the bottom right of the interface. These are universal actions for every building and unit in the game. A third lightning icon lets you empower certain units for added buffs. Each unit's attack path can be set by tapping on the vehicle, then sliding your finger to any any direction. You can set these rally points one by one, or you can group units into clusters for more army on army action.

Once you've completed your preparations, a play button on the bottom right unfreezes time for about 7 seconds, during which players can briefly monitor if their strategic decisions pay off. Though the first moments of every fight is generally uneventful, watching large scal... [Read more]
