Good: Writing on the Toshiba Excite Write's screen feels fluid and smooth, and I love the useful eraser button. It also boasts an incredibly sharp screen and includes storage expansion via microSD.
Bad: There are few useful stylus features and no built-in pocket for the pen. The screen at times becomes completely unresponsive.
Bottom Line: Though it doesn't have any glaring problems, $600 is way too much for a tablet that fails to stand out in any significant way. [Read more]

Good: Terraria for iOS looks and sounds just like the PC and console versions, with huge maps to explore, tons of items to craft, and challenging bosses to fight.
Bad: The touch-screen controls are not as good as a mouse or controller. Playing on an iPhone or iPod Touch is even worse with less viewing area and zoom window problems.
Bottom Line: Terraria is an incredibly involved and challenging game that's worth buying as long as you play it on the iPad. [Read more]

Good: Here Maps supports navigation and offline maps for when you don't have a Wi-Fi or data signal.
Bad: Maps with the satellite view load slowly regardless of your connection speed, and the indoor venue maps are more confusing than helpful.
Bottom Line: Use Here Maps for its basic navigation and maps, but don't bother with Nokia's added features. [Read more]

Good: The ZTE Reef has a water-resistant design, a well-stocked camera, and a bright display. Call quality is quite respectable.
Bad: The Reef lacks 4G and the latest version of Android. It takes a long time to boot up and the microSD card slot is behind the battery.
Bottom Line: The ZTE Reef's stands out for its water-resistant skin, but skip to Virgin's other smartphones if you care more about getting the latest features and top-of-the line performance. [Read more]
