Good: The Deck by Sol Republic speaker's slimness makes it easy to slip into a bag for on-the-go use. It offers big sound for its size, has a "multiuser" Heist mode, NFC tap-to-pair support, and a built-in speakerphone, and comes with a simple but nice carrying case. It can also stream audio from up to 300 feet away from your device -- much farther than other Bluetooth speakers.
Bad: Should cost about $50 less.
Bottom Line: While it's priced about $50 too high, the Deck by Sol Republic is an appealing portable wireless speaker that delivers decent sound, a good feature set, and superb wireless range. [Read more]

Good: Skype for Windows Phone's simple interface lets you call, video chat, and instant message your friends without any hassle.
Bad: Video quality isn't great even over a fast Wi-Fi connection, and you can't create or manage your Skype account from the app.
Bottom Line: Skype for Windows Phone is a simple and stable app for free video calls and messaging, but poor video quality will disappoint power users. [Read more]

iON Air Pro 2

Good: The iON Air Pro 2 is a simple-to-operate 1080p action cam that's waterproof without needing a housing; has very good video quality and battery life; and a nice feature set and accessory options for easily adding Wi-Fi, an extra battery, or wireless remote control.
Bad: The camera's audio quality isn't great (though there is an external mic jack if needed); only one adhesive helmet mount is included; and its Android app is currently a work in progress.
Bottom Line: One of the better action cam options available, the iON Air Pro 2 improves on the original, while still offering a good value. [Read more]

Where's My Water 2 (iOS)

Good: Where's My Water 2 has more than 100 levels, new challenges, and new game types with the same great puzzle gameplay from the original.
Bad: The freemium model makes you either continuously pay to play, bug your Facebook friends, or wait for long periods of time before you can play again.
Bottom Line: Where's My Water 2 is a fun sequel that is sadly overshadowed by a brutal freemium model that makes it impossible for me to recommend it to anyone. [Read more]

Origin EON13-S

Good: The Origin PC EON13-S has great gaming performance for a 13-inch laptop, and unlike a few other portable gaming PCs we've seen recently, it has a full 1080p display.
Bad: The thick, generic-looking body feels like a throwback to a time before ultrabooks, and the high-end parts require some seriously loud fans.
Bottom Line: Small-screen gaming laptops are rare because they require serious engineering sleight of hand. The EON13-S walks the line between power and portability, but it would be so much cooler with a custom body. [Read more]
