Good: The compact Motorola Droid Mini offers a speedy processor, long battery life, and advanced Android features for an affordable price.
Bad: The Droid Mini's chassis feels cheap and attracts grease and fingerprints easily. The phone's screen has inaccurate colors with low contrast.
Bottom Line: If $100 is the most you can spend, the Motorola Droid Mini will fit the bill, but splurging on the handsome Moto X pays dividends later. [Read more]

Good: The Teac A-H01 is a handsome, compact integrated amplifier that fits nicely in even cramped spaces. It sports two stereo analog inputs and two digital inputs, including an optical audio input that's handy for living-room use. There's also a USB port, so the A-H01 can connect to a computer as a USB DAC. And the A-H01's sound quality is excellent with plenty of power for most living rooms.
Bad: You can't toggle the A-H01's power with the remote, making it less than ideal to use with a universal remote. The included remote is frustrating to use, with buttons that don't always respond to presses. And there's no built-in Bluetooth or AirPlay, so you'll need to buy a separate device if you want wireless audio streaming.
Bottom Line: The Teac A-H01 integrated amplifier delivers big sound in a compact body, but a few design missteps limit its appeal. [Read more]

Good: The compact, affordable Netgear R6100 WiFi Router is easy to use and delivers good performance.
Bad: The new router doesn't support Gigabit Ethernet and its Wi-Fi range could be longer.
Bottom Line: The lack of Gigabit Ethernet in many ways cancels out the Netgear R6100's support for the fast 802.11ac standard and makes it just an average Wi-Fi router. [Read more]
