Good: PicPlayPost offers video integration in an otherwise photo-only app-frame landscape, complete with sequential and simultaneous playback along with other unique features.
Bad: No iCloud support for saving or transferring projects between devices.
Bottom Line: This app is a fun way to stand out on Instagram or Vine, but even if you're not into sharing personal photos on a network, it's perfect for creating family memories to share via iMessage and e-mail. [Read more]

Good: Samsung's Galaxy Admire 2 is easy on the eye and stocked with Android 4.1's software amenities. The 5-megapixel camera is quite good and the Muve Music service adds extra value.
Bad: The Admire 2 feels heavy in the hand. If you're not in Cricket's 4G LTE area, data is slow. Muve Music's stuttery software is showing its age, and call quality was mediocre.
Bottom Line: Buy the Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 for Cricket's best midrange value, though a few performance drawbacks mar the experience. [Read more]

Good: The Pioneer SP-SB23W offers outstanding sound quality for a sound bar, particularly when it comes to the blend between the sub and the main cabinet. Performance is even more impressive considering the size of the tiny wireless subwoofer, which is easy to hide in the room. And there's also built-in Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming.
Bad: The system's style won't wow you and the sound bar's relatively chunky size might block your TV's remote sensor. The included remote is mediocre and there's no front-panel display for visual feedback while making adjustments.
Bottom Line: The Pioneer SP-SB23W is the best affordable sound bar if you care about sound quality, with its outstanding sonics making up for some of its design limitations. [Read more]

Good: The inexpensive Kyocera Hydro Elite is a compact, waterproof handset with wireless charging, a decent camera, and expandable memory.
Bad: Sluggish internal speeds and mediocre call quality bog down the device's performance.
Bottom Line: Kyocera's Elite will quench Verizon users' thirst for a stylish and reasonably priced water-resistant phone -- just don't expect it to be a powerful speed demon. [Read more]
