Good: The uniquely designed Samsung LTE Mobile HotSpot Pro offers fast cellular Internet, and can work as a charger or a juice pack for other mobile devices. The device also has a very long battery life and is easy to use.
Bad: The router's LCD screen is not touch-sensitive and there are no options to change its settings without using the Web interface. The price is a little high and T-Mobile's national LTE footprint is still somewhat modest.
Bottom Line: The Samsung LTE Mobile HotSpot Pro's superfast 4G LTE speed and exceptionally long battery life make it a great buy on its own, but its juice pack feature sweetens the deal that much more. [Read more]

Good: Google Play Music lets you upload 20,000 songs for free, lets you download music for offline listening, and the All Access features give you great options for music discovery.
Bad: There is not yet an iPad version. The app doesn't have options to display lyrics and does not have artist bios.
Bottom Line: With a streaming library that won't fill up your iPhone storage in the free version, along with excellent music discovery options and ad-free radio with All Access, Google Play Music is a great option for audiophiles. [Read more]

Good: The IronX by DXG 5G9V HD action cam is value-packed, with a good assortment of accessories, built-in Wi-Fi, and accompanying iOS and Android apps, and a bright OLED display. Several mounting options are available as well as adapters for tripod and GoPro mounts.
Bad: Its 1080p video looks soft and lacks detail, making it best suited for viewing at small sizes onscreen or on mobile devices. For all that DXG does include, you'll still need to buy a microSD card. The neon accents on its waterproof housing makes it look like a toy.
Bottom Line: The IronX by DXG is a very good bang-for-your-buck HD action cam that should satisfy those looking for an inexpensive way to shoot POV videos, as long as you don't need the absolute best video. [Read more]

Good: A multitude of settings dial up the 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe's performance to insane levels. A large, 10.2-inch screen shows high-resolution map details with extensive live traffic coverage. Bang & Olufsen audio delivers superb sound.
Bad: The idle-stop feature lags on engine startup. System settings aren't always easy to find in iDrive.
Bottom Line: The 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe requires real skill to enjoy the extent of its capabilities, but its performance is exhilarating, while advanced cabin electronics help the driver under more sedate driving conditions. [Read more]

Nokia Lumia 1520

User Rating:
Good: Nokia's Lumia 1520 delivers a large, glare-fighting screen, a fast processor, plenty of storage, and a strong 20-megapixel camera for the same on-contract price as a smaller premium phone.
Bad: Its size makes one-handed operation difficult, and call quality was muddier than on most Nokia phones. Limited voice dictation and voice assistance in the OS hobbles its usefulness as a phablet.
Bottom Line: Though it lacks some features found in its big phone rivals, the Nokia Lumia 1520 is a great buy for Windows Phone fans seeking a supersize smartphone with premium hardware. [Read more]
