Good: The Mini Connected app brings many informative and fun connected features in to the 2013 Mini Cooper S Paceman. The turbocharged engine delivers a good mix of economy and power. The Paceman retains Mini's unique styling language.
Bad: The Paceman gains size and weight, sacrificing Mini's go-kart handling. The navigation system uses an odd color scheme and has limited zoom levels. The Mini Connected app only works on the iPhone.
Bottom Line: A stylish and easy driving car with many fun, connected features, the 2013 Mini Cooper S Paceman works fine for mundane driving, but enthusiasts should stick to its smaller sibling. [Read more]

Good: The affordable Motorola Electrify M features a colorful screen, 4G LTE, and long battery life. Thin, attractive, and compact, it also runs Android Jelly Bean.
Bad: The Electrify M's camera takes unimpressive images and has a slow processor. The battery isn't removable.
Bottom Line: The Motorola Electrify M is a well-priced and compact option on U. S. Cellular, but the larger Samsung Galaxy S3 is the better deal if size doesn't matter. [Read more]

Good: Apple's new compact and beautiful AirPort Extreme Base Station supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi, is easy to use, and offers solid performance.
Bad: Other than the new design and 802.11ac, there are no other improvements over the previous generation. The router is inflexible and offers no support for Time Machine backup or media streaming via the USB storage.
Bottom Line: Home users, especially Apple fans who own 802.11ac-enabled devices, will love the new AirPort Extreme for its all-new elegant design, ease of use, and great performance; advanced users should look elsewhere for more features and customization. [Read more]
