Good: Vine makes it easy to create short videos you can share with friends and on social networks. The sparse interface doesn't get in the way of making cool-looking short videos out of separate clips.
Bad: Once you post a video, there is no way to share it again after the fact.
Bottom Line: There are certainly other apps in the App Store that let you take short video loops, and even offer a similar layout, but Vine keeps the controls extremely easy and painless, making it a great way to capture short scenes. [Read more]

Inrix Traffic (Android)

Good: Inrix Traffic is able to display mapped traffic overlays for surface roads and highways. Traffic estimates given for Home and Work trips were accurate. The app offers predictive estimates for future trips.
Bad: Adding more than Home and Work to the destinations requires a pricey $24.99 lifetime premium subscription. No turn-by-turn directions are offered and there's no way to send a destination to an app that does.
Bottom Line: Inrix Traffic for Android is a good trip-planning supplement for accurate travel time estimates, but you'll need a primary navigation app for turn-by-turn navigation. [Read more]

Good: MediaFire offers 50GB of free storage to users. Its interface is clean and intuitive, and the service syncs to the cloud reliably.
Bad: The lack of batch upload feature is disappointing. Also, there is no option to attach files directly to e-mails from MediaFire.
Bottom Line: MediaFire may not be perfect, but it is easy to use, and its 50GB of free storage is almost unbeatable. [Read more]

Good: The Asus Vivobook X202E is very inexpensive for a touch-screen Windows 8 laptop, and looks and feels like a more high-end system.
Bad: The CPU trades down to a slower model, battery life is unimpressive, and the large touch pad is flaky.
Bottom Line: It's great to see more touch-screen Windows 8 laptops under $600, but note that the Asus X202E requires some compromises in performance and battery life. [Read more]

Monster iSport Intensity In-Ear Headphones (Green)

User Rating:
Good: The Monster iSport Intensity In-Ear Headphones fit securely and comfortably and are sweat-resistant, and their "open" design has its appeal, particularly for runners who want to hear oncoming traffic. They also provide decent sound and have an Apple-friendly inline remote and microphone for making cell phone calls.
Bad: The earphones let in sound, causing reduced sound quality in noisier environments.
Bottom Line: While in sound quality the Monster iSport Intensity earphones are a step down from the noise-isolating Immersion models, they offer good sound and a comfortable, secure fit with an open design that will appeal to folks who don't like having eartips jammed into their ears. [Read more]
