Toshiba LX835-D3380 - Core i7 3630QM 2.4 GHz : LED 23" Posted: 23 Jan 2013 11:00 PM PST Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: A fast CPU helps distinguish the Toshiba LX835 from its Windows 8 all-in-one competitors. Bad: Toshiba played it safe with this system, offering few interesting features to go with the new operating system. Bottom Line: Look no further than the Toshiba LX835-D3380 if you want a comfortable, speedy all-in-one on which to learn Windows 8. [Read more] |
Posted: 23 Jan 2013 10:30 PM PST Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Nikon Coolpix L610 has an above-average feature set for its street price, including a backside-illuminated CMOS sensor and 14x zoom, and uses AA batteries for power. Bad: Shooting performance, while better than most in this category, is too slow for photos of kids and pets. Battery life is short with alkaline batteries. Flash must be manually popped up and the optical zoom doesn't work while recording video. Bottom Line: Though nothing extraordinary, the Nikon Coolpix L610 is a decent entry-level compact camera that shoots slightly above its price. [Read more] |

Posted: 23 Jan 2013 10:21 PM PST Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The 2013 Cadillac ATS handles extremely well, whether in the daily commute or spirited driving. Driver assistance features help prevent accidents, and the cabin electronics offer first-rate navigation and digital-audio capabilities. Bad: The CUE cabin electronics interface's response times are far too slow. The suspension can jar harshly over bumps. Bottom Line: The 2013 Cadillac ATS is a fun, nimble little luxury car that offers an easy all-around driving experience, and while its cabin electronics features are solid, the touch-screen performance proves frustrating. Posted: 23 Jan 2013 10:02 PM PST Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: Temple Run 2 has better graphics, more path variation, new obstacles, and tons of power-ups to make it an excellent sequel to the most popular running game on iOS. Bad: In-app purchases allow for unlimited continues, skewing the leaderboards to those who are willing to spend the money. Bottom Line: If you like the original Temple Run or enjoy running games, Temple Run 2 is an excellent sequel with tons of new content, beautiful graphics, and more heart-pounding escape game action. Posted: 23 Jan 2013 09:36 PM PST Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The HP Elitebook 9470m has a solid, lightweight design, great battery life, and lots of ports and security features. Bad: There's no touch screen, it has a non-high-res display, and there's a general lack of unique features to justify its high price. Bottom Line: The HP Elitebook Folio 9470m does a serviceable job at being a good thin all-around Windows 8 business laptop, but it doesn't rise from the pack, and it doesn't take any chances.
