Good: The prepaid Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G features a compact build, 4G LTE, and plenty of photo-editing options.
Bad: Running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Admire 4G feels dated right out of the box. It also has a low-resolution screen.
Bottom Line: The Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G is a dependable handset in its own right, but it just can't top the cheaper, faster, Android 4.0 LG Motion 4G. [Read more]

Good: With iHeartRadio, you can access more than 1,500 live stations from around the U.S., as well as the service's library of more than 15 million songs. The best part, though, is that custom stations are ad-free.
Bad: No pause, rewind, or record controls.
Bottom Line: The best free streaming-radio app on the market, iHeartRadio takes some of (but not all) the best features from TuneIn Radio Pro and combines them with Pandora-like functionality. [Read more]

AfterShokz Sportz M2 with Mic

Good: The AfterShokz Sports M2 headphones are comfortable and sweatproof, and have an integrated microphone (with volume controls) for making cell phone calls. They use bone-conducting technology to transmit sound through your cheekbone, so your ears remain uncovered and you can easily have a conversation with someone while listening to music.
Bad: The headphones work better for speech than music. They also leak a lot of sound, and the earpads vibrate on your cheek at higher volumes, creating a tickling sensation.
Bottom Line: The AfterShokz Sports M2 will appeal to people who want comfortable headphones that you don't have to wear in your ears. Just don't expect them to provide a great listening experience -- for music, anyway. [Read more]

Good: The compact design of the Escort MobileTV makes it easy to carry around as a way to add television functionality to an iOS device. The associated IDTV app is free, and includes a program guide.
Bad: Programming for the MobileTV is limited to the Dyle network, and reception came in consistently for only about half of the available channels.
Bottom Line: With its limited programming and reception, the Escort MobileTV will satisfy only a small segment of people who desire a portable television. [Read more]

BlackBerry Z10

Good: RIM dug deep to give the slick-looking BlackBerry Z10 enough features to satisfy both consumers and professionals -- like a good camera and a sharp user interface.
Bad: The Z10's unintuitive gesture paradigm creates a learning curve, and a long list of OS inefficiencies and omissions sour the experience. The bare-bones maps app and a deficit of camera features are two examples.
Bottom Line: Though it's not quite enough to draw committed iPhone or Android owners, the BlackBerry Z10's modern design and features give BlackBerry fans what they've hungered for. [Read more]

BlackBerry 10 OS

Good: The BlackBerry 10 OS looks terrific, and comes with many of the world-class features you'd demand from a modern OS. It also adds a few of its own signature tools for security and business users.
Bad: Despite the grown-up look, RIM's new OS is riddled with perplexing omissions and behavioral inefficiencies that wear on you over time.
Bottom Line: BlackBerry lovers who can get past the rookie mistakes will find a polished-looking OS that's packed with interesting and useful features, but happy Android and iOS users won't find a reason to switch. [Read more]
