Monster iSport Immersion In-Ear Headphones with ControlTalk (MH ISRT2 IE BL CT) Posted: 04 Oct 2012 12:15 AM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Monster iSport Immersion In-Ear Headphones offer a very secure fit and impressive sound, as well as a sweatproof design and flat, tangle-resident cord. They also have an integrated iPhone-friendly ControlTalk inline remote with volume controls, and come with a nice carrying pouch. Bad: For some people, these earphones' noise isolation may shut out too much of the outside world. Also, if you can't get a tight seal, bass response won't be as good. Bottom Line: The iSport Immersion headphones rank among the best wired in-ear sports headphone models out there in terms of fit and sound quality. [Read more] |

Posted: 03 Oct 2012 10:17 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: Well, Duo Games Duo Pinball works as advertised with the Pinball Duo HD Collection app. Bad: It doesn't work with any other games, costs a ridiculous amount, and feels low-rent. Bottom Line: Pinball Duo is a cute idea with little purpose for anyone, even hard-core pinball fans, especially at its high price. It's a one-trick plastic pony for one app. [Read more] |
Posted: 03 Oct 2012 10:04 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Lenovo IdeaTab S2110A features fast gaming performance, a bright screen, wide viewing angles, dual cameras, and Micro-HDMI. Bad: The design is shoddy and screen warping is rampant when handling the device. Its price is too high given the quality and quantity of its offerings. Bottom Line: The Lenovo IdeaTab S2110A offers a great-looking screen and fast gaming performance, but comes up short in build quality and features. [Read more] |

Discovery Bay Games Duo Gamer Controller Posted: 03 Oct 2012 09:59 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Duo Gamer is wireless, has dual analog sticks, and works as a game controller when the iPad is connected to a large-screen TV. Bad: An $80 price is insane, it feels clunky, and it only works with a limited batch of Gameloft games. You'd better love Gameloft. Bottom Line: The good news: the iPad has a game controller. The bad news: it only works with a few games. Meet the awkward Duo Gamer. [Read more] |
Posted: 03 Oct 2012 08:18 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Pioneer SP-PK52FS breaks new ground for quality sound at a budget price. The 5.1 speaker system is highlighted by two tower speakers in the front, plus a 100-watt, 8-inch powered subwoofer completes the system. And although it's not stylish, the curved wooden cabinets look better than a cheap boxy speaker. Bad: The speakers are bulkier than many alternatives and the large center channel can be difficult to place. Black wood grain vinyl is the sole finish option and might not be a good fit for every living room. Bottom Line: If you've got the space for it, the Pioneer SP-PK52FS is simply the best-sounding, budget-price home theater speaker package you can buy. [Read more] |
Posted: 03 Oct 2012 07:10 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: Granny Smith has beautiful hand-drawn graphics, fun physics-based gameplay, and levels that bring plenty of challenge. Bad: When you miss some jumps, the whole level starts over. Sound design is unimpressive in contrast with the excellent graphics and gameplay. Bottom Line: If you're looking for a fast-paced platformer with excellent physics-based gameplay, don't let the tame name fool you. Granny Smith is both challenging and a lot of fun. [Read more] |
