Good: The Archos 101 G9 Turbo version runs the latest Android OS, has a neat kickstand, and can play full 1080p HD video.
Bad: The Archos 101 G9 Turbo's processing speed is slow, its video records out of sync, and it has some awkward design errors.
Bottom Line: Despite its ICS update and slightly upgraded processor, the Archos 101 G9 Turbo's glacial lag and cumbersome build makes this tablet safe to skip over. [Read more]

Good: The Samsung Gusto 2's solid, compact design looks and feels good, and call quality was excellent on both sides of the line. Additional accessibility features are a bonus.
Bad: The Gusto 2's subpar resolution is out-of-date, there's a smaller-than-standard headset jack, and some people may find the convenience keys hard to press.
Bottom Line: Verizon customers looking for a simple phone will appreciate the Samsung Gusto 2's emphasis on call quality and comfort, despite a few minor flaws. [Read more]

Good: A unique collaboration of matte rubber, memory foam, and micro-fleece materials snag the Incase Sonic over-ear headphones extra points for comfort and durability, while the 40mm driver sharpens acoustics with impressive detail.
Bad: Space-conscious travelers might lament the lack of a folding headband.
Bottom Line: The Incase Sonic headphones are a standout first effort for Incase. Their elongated earcups and memory foam lend a supremely comfortable fit, and the powerful titanium drivers inside add sweetness to their sound that earns them a universal recommendation for all types of music fans. Lepai LP-2020A+

Good: The Lepai LP-2020A+ is an ultracheap mini amplifier that offers 20 watts per channel, two inputs, and bass and treble controls.
Bad: There's no remote control, and the blue illuminated ring surrounding the volume control is glaringly bright in a dark room. It's so light (if not fastened down) that it slides around when the controls are used.
Bottom Line: As long as you're realistic about the capabilities and limited features set of the Lepai LP-2020A+, you can't go wrong with this little $25 amp. [Read more]

Sony BDP-S590

User Rating:
Good: The Sony BDP-S590 has built-in Wi-Fi, 3D compatibility, and an ample suite of streaming-media services, including Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant, Pandora, and Vudu. It's also the sleekest Blu-ray player I've seen this year, with a well-designed remote that includes a dedicated Netflix button. The BDP-S590 is also one of the better players for playing back digital media files like MKV, DivX, and Xvid.
Bad: Sony's user interface isn't as intuitive as those from some competitors, especially the interfaces for Amazon Instant and Hulu Plus. It's also relatively slow at loading discs, taking almost twice as long as some competitors.
Bottom Line: The Sony BDP-S590 is a great-looking Blu-ray player with built-in Wi-Fi, 3D compatibility, and tons of streaming-media apps, but it's slow to load discs and has some user interface quirks. [Read more]
