Good: The Ultrasone Signature Pro headphones have user-replaceable cables, genuine leather earpads, folding hinges for compact storage, and come with a generous five-year warranty.
Bad: The lofty price tag might deter all but the pickiest audiophiles.
Bottom Line: The Ultrasone Signature Pro is a German-made Mercedes class set of headphones built for a discerning clientele. [Read more]

Good: The Soundfreaq Sound Kick SFQ-04 is a compact, attractively designed portable Bluetooth speaker that sounds decent and plays loud for its size. It has a built-in rechargeable battery that delivers 7 hours of play time, and a USB port for charging smartphones and portable devices.
Bad: The speaker's sound is a little thin, and there isn't a speakerphone capability. Its retractable Xkick bass chamber converts into a stand that's nifty but a little wobbly. While portable, the Sound Kick is bigger than some other small Bluetooth speakers in the same price range.
Bottom Line: The Soundfreaq Sound Kick portable Bluetooth speaker is a good value, with an attractive design and good performance for its size. [Read more]

Good: The Pantech Jest 2 has a straightforward interface and a few welcome features beyond the basics.
Bad: The Jest 2's call quality was below par and its keyboard is too small. Its Web browser wasn't worth the trouble.
Bottom Line: The Pantech Jest 2 brings decent features for a cheap price, but its flat call quality and square shape don't do it any favors. [Read more]

Good: The attractive exterior design of the LG G2 series gives an inkling of LG's "back to the drawing board" approach this year. The hybrid Magic Remote with QWERTY is one of the best TV peripherals on the market. The passive 3D system creates significantly less crosstalk than its active competitors.
Bad: Picture quality suffers from poor black levels, desaturated colors, a glossy screen, and lack of uniformity. The Google TV interface isn't as easy to use as any other TV interface you'd care to name.
Bottom Line: While it may sport high-end looks and a cutting-edge remote, LG's G2 series is a disappointing attempt at Google TV with ho-hum picture quality and a frustrating user experience. [Read more]

Good: The LG Viper is eco-friendly, records superb video in 1080p HD, and comes with an NFC chip that lets you wirelessly transfer data to other NFC-enabled devices.
Bad: The LG Viper can only run on Sprint's 3G network for now, and users can't use Google Wallet or update to Ice Cream Sandwich yet. Audio quality is subpar as well.
Bottom Line: Although many of its features aren't available by the time it hits stores, the LG Viper is a reliable, environmentally conscious device with an excellent camera. [Read more]
