Good: The Sony SmartWatch draws the eye with its sleek, stylish looks. It also offers a wide range of wireless functions made possible by a Bluetooth smartphone connection.
Bad: The device needs an Android smartphone connection to function or even keep the time. It's expensive considering the watch's display can't be read in sunlight.
Bottom Line: Quirky software and limited compatibility make the Sony SmartWatch more pricey curiosity than solid timepiece. [Read more]

Good: The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX200V is a fast-shooting megazoom with excellent photo and video quality for its class, and plenty of shooting options to make casual and advanced shooters happy.
Bad: The HX200V lacks advanced bridge camera features like raw image capture, a hot shoe, or mic input. Some of its shooting modes and general operation can get confusing if you want to do more than leave it in auto.
Bottom Line: A lot of camera, both in lens and features, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX200V is a solid choice for point-and-shoot users looking to do a little more than that. [Read more]

Good: The Toshiba Excite 13 has a zippy quad-core processor, a front-facing camera that features a handful of photo and recording options, and it ships with Android 4.0.
Bad: The Excite 13's mammoth screen makes it cumbersome to maneuver, and the resolution falls flat for videos that don't fit its aspect ratio.
Bottom Line: On its own, the Toshiba Excite 13 is a decent tablet with a snappy CPU anyone can appreciate. But the unjustifiably big 13.3-inch screen isn't worth the price or the trouble. [Read more]

Winegard FlatWave FL-5000 Antenna

Good: The Winegard FlatWave FL-5000 Antenna is a flat TV antenna that measures just 0.2 inch thick. It has a black finish on one side and white on the other, and can be positioned either way. And it comes with a 15-foot-long cable, making it easy to position for optimal reception.
Bad: The FL-5000's permanently attached black cable doesn't look great against white walls, and you're not likely to get great reception unless you put it in a window.
Bottom Line: The Winegard FlatWave FL-5000 is a paper-thin indoor TV antenna that performs nearly as well as bulkier, more traditional TV antennas and comes with a longer (albeit uglier) cable than the Mohu Leaf. [Read more]
