Good: The LG Optimus 4X HD's quad-core processor makes it incredibly zippy, it runs on Android 4.0, and it has NFC capabilities and a stunning HD-IPS LCD display.
Bad: The 4X HD can be unwieldy for small hands, the quality of its output speaker is less than stellar, and its UI isn't as elegant as the original ICS.
Bottom Line: With its lightning-quick CPU, newest Android version, great touch screen, and NFC chip, the LG Optimus 4X HD is firing on all cylinders. [Read more]

Good: The 2012 Chevrolet Volt features an extremely flexible power train, offering the best of electric efficiency and gasoline-powered range. Power delivery is smooth and effortless. A good array of standard cabin tech options and great-sounding premium audio are available.
Bad: The Volt's instrument cluster and dashboard are a cluttered mess. The brakes don't inspire confidence. The navigation system lacks advanced features.
Bottom Line: Mileage has never varied more than it will between two 2012 Chevrolet Volt owners, but with regular charging, this part-time EV is capable of fantastic efficiency -- just don't look too hard at its dashboard. [Read more]

Bad: The 808 PureView's Symbian OS still lags behind the competition. The handset is heavy and bulky, with a small, low-resolution display.
Bottom Line: Its small display and and Symbian OS are pitfalls, but as a camera phone, the Nokia 808 PureView easily beats all current handsets on the market. [Read more]

Good: The Western Digital My Net N900 HD dual-band router offers a fresh approach to wireless routers with seven Gigabit LAN ports and an effective FastTrack Plus QoS feature. The router's 5Ghz band and its storage feature also performed very well.
Bad: The My Net N900's 2.4Ghz band could use improvement. The router doesn't support 802.11ac, nor does it have an easy way for users to access its connected USB external drive over the Internet.
Bottom Line: The Western Digital My Net N900 HD is a whole new kind of Wireless-N router. At release, the router is a decent investment for home users but will need better firmware to work at its full potential. [Read more]
