Good: The Fujifilm FinePix HS30EXR has a great design and feature set for those who like to do more than leave their camera in auto. It also has several shooting options to improve photo quality for difficult lighting.
Bad: Getting the best results from the HS30EXR can require a lot of effort and even then its photos might not be good enough for some.
Bottom Line: Fujifilm's FinePix HS30EXR is a capable megazoom for those who like the controls of an SLR, but not the expense and weight of one. [Read more]

Good: The Plantronics M55 Bluetooth earpiece is compact, attractively styled, and affordable. It offers basic voice prompts and vocal commands. A DeepSleep function promises to preserve battery life when shelved.
Bad: Call quality suffers when outdoors. The M55 also only comes with one earbud size.
Bottom Line: Low-priced and extremely small, the $49 Plantronics M55 is a discreet and stylish budget earpiece, but there are better options for noisy outdoor environments. [Read more]

Good: The Toshiba Excite 7.7 has a great AMOLED screen, a snappy quad-core processor, and ships natively with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Bad: At $500 the Excite 7.7's sticker price is steep, the front camera is awkwardly placed, and there is no HDMI support.
Bottom Line: If money isn't an issue, the Toshiba Excite 7.7 is a compact tablet with a beautiful display and impressive internal speeds. [Read more]

Good: The Promise Pegasus R4 offers very fast performance and works with both Windows PCs and Macs. The drive supports many different RAID configurations.
Bad: The Pegasus R4 is expensive and relatively noisy, doesn't share its power status with the host machine, and doesn't come with a Thunderbolt cable. It has no other peripheral connections such as USB or FireWire, and performs noticeably more slowly than its big brother, the Pegasus R6.
Bottom Line: The Pegasus R4 would be a very good investment for those who have a Thunderbolt-enabled computer, be it Windows PC or Mac. [Read more]

Good: The Samsung UNEH6000 series costs less than some other TVs that use LED backlights. Its color accuracy, video processing, and bright-room picture are very good, and it has better screen uniformity than many edge-lit LED models. I liked the thin frame around the screen, and didn't mind the cabinet's extra thickness.
Bad: Lighter black levels hamper the EH6000's picture quality compared with many TVs, including less expensive models. Its connectivity suite is anemic with just two HDMI inputs, and at this price numerous TVs offer apps and Smart TV functions that this Samsung doesn't.
Bottom Line: Although it's cheaper than Samsung's ultrathin edge-lit models, the EH6000 series's value proposition is hurt by mediocre picture quality. [Read more]

AT&T Fusion U8652

User Rating:
Good: The AT&T Fusion GoPhone is an attractive, compact handset for a decent price. It features an unadorned Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and has Swype.
Bad: Unfortunately, the Fusion has a smallish screen, a dull camera, and a slow processor. It lacks pinch-to-zoom support and a proximity sensor.
Bottom Line: The AT&T Fusion is fine if you're a patient soul who doesn't expect much in a handset but wants to make the jump to Android. For everyone else, I suggest you move on. [Read more]
