Good: The Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11 works as a laptop alternative thanks to its always-attached keyboard and myriad useful ports, and its physical flexibility provides useful ergonomic options. Brightness shortcuts on the keyboard unearth a normally buried option in Windows RT.
Bad: As a tablet, the device is too bulky and heavy to hold in your hands, and its Web performance is slow. A full Windows 8 version with updated specs will be available soon for only $150 more.
Bottom Line: The Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11 is a great laptop alternative that's unfortunately too bulky to completely replace your tablet. [Read more]

Good: The Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 offers high-end components, including gamer-level graphics, a swappable accessory bay, and the coolest-looking backlit keyboard I've seen in a long while.
Bad: If the Y500 only had a touch screen, which is practically required for the Windows 8 UI, it might be one of my favorite laptops of the year.
Bottom Line: For those looking for something more than a feature-light ultrabook, the gamer-friendly Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 is close to brilliant, and several configurations are currently available at a deep discount -- but I can't believe it doesn't have a touch screen. [Read more]

Good: The Nexus 4 Wireless Charger powers phones without cords, is compact, and doubles as a convenient stand.
Bad: The Nexus 4 Wireless Charger powers just one device at a time and attracts dirt easily. It also lacks a way to alert you when its charging.
Bottom Line: The Nexus 4 Wireless Charger is convenient for Nexus 4 owners, but other solutions from Powermat and Energizer offer more extra features. [Read more]

Petting Zoo (iOS)

Good: Petting Zoo contains uniquely hand-drawn animations and has a minimalistic, intuitive interface.
Bad: At $1.99, Petting Zoo is pricey for an app that will never receive additional chapters.
Bottom Line: Petting Zoo is a quirky and absolutely charming app, but because it's structured more like a picture book, pass it up if you're looking for a traditional level-intensive game. [Read more]

Good: The iLuv iHP636 ReF is well built, offers a comfortable fit for an on-ear model, and includes an Apple-friendly remote/microphone and a tangle-resistant fabric covered cord.
Bad: Sound could be cleaner and more refined.
Bottom Line: While iLuv ReF headphone has a lot of pluses, including a sturdy, comfortable design, strong bass, and an Apple-friendly inline remote/microphone, it falls short in the clarity department. [Read more]
