Good: The full-size Beyerdynamic T90 uses advanced Tesla magnetic flux technology to produce remarkably accurate sound and its open-back design creates more spacious stereo imaging. The T90 is also very comfortable to wear for long periods and measures up well against headphones that cost $1,000.
Bad: It's expensive and definitely not suited to on-the-go use; the open-back design will leak sound.
Bottom Line: Sure, the Beyerdynamic T90 is pricey, but no other less-expensive headphone can match the T90's combination of comfort, sound, and build quality. [Read more]

Good: The Dell XPS 13 has a sharp new 1080p display, updated Intel processors, and the same sleek design as before.
Bad: Few ports; a high price; no touch-screen option.
Bottom Line: Attractive and compact, the new Dell XPS 13 ultrabook isn't that much different from last year's model, aside from new processors and a higher-res non-touch screen. [Read more]

Good: JVC's DLA-X35 doles out huge, stunning projection images characterized by deep black levels and highly accurate color; excellent value for this level of image quality; extensive picture adjustments and setup options, including power zoom, focus, and lens shift; no-nonsense minimalist design; optional 3D emitter compatible with cheaper third-party glasses.
Bad: Inaccurate pre-calibration picture settings; doesn't include accessories necessary to watch 3D; inferior to many projectors in brighter environments.
Bottom Line: The relatively affordable JVC DLA-X35 produces videophile-grade images with very few compromises. [Read more]

Good: With excellent craftsmanship and design, plus wide-ranging color options, the Vaja Leather Suit is one laptop shell that can actually make a MacBook look better.
Bad: It's very expensive, even considering the quality, and adds nearly 1 pound to your system weight.
Bottom Line: Most MacBooks are fine as-is, but if you feel the need to add a shell for protection or customization, the Vaja Leather Suit is a high-quality example, with a high price to match. [Read more]

Asus Transformer AIO

Good: The Asus Transformer AIO delivers a fast Windows 8 all-in-one, a giant Android tablet, and an effective platform for using them in tandem.
Bad: Remote desktop technology makes using Windows 8 in tablet mode unreliable, and you might prefer to wait to buy until later this year when the category has matured.
Bottom Line: You'd be smart to wait and see how the market develops, but Asus has used the freedom of the still-forming all-in-one/tablet hybrid category to create a compelling Windows 8/Android device in the Transformer AIO. [Read more]
