User Rating:
Good: The 2.5-inch SATA 3 (6Gbps)-based Patriot Memory Pyro solid-state drive (SSD) offers decent performance and works in any application in which other SATA hard drives are used.
Bad: The Patriot Memory Pyro randomly dismounts sometimes when the computer comes out of sleep mode. The drive doesn't come with a drive bay converter to make it work with desktops, and its data transfer rates could use some improvement.
Bottom Line: The Patriot Memory Pyro is a decent SSD among its peers and will improve your computer's performance significantly when used as a replacement hard drive. [Read more]

HTC Flyer (U.S. Cellular)

Posted: 29 Sep 2011 02:16 AM PDT

Editor's Rating:
User Rating:
Good: Fans of 7-inch tablets will appreciate the HTC Flyer's screen quality, durable construction, HD video recording, and unique features, such as digital pen compatibility and HTC's Sense UI customization.
Bad: The Flyer is small, thick, and pricey, and isn't running Google's Android 3.0 tablet OS. Its most distinctive feature, the Magic Pen, may not come included and is expensive to replace.
Bottom Line: The HTC Flyer puts a new spin on the 7-inch Android tablet, but its high price and smartphone-style OS are a tough sell next to its bigger, cheaper Honeycomb kin. [Read more]

LG Esteem (MetroPCS)

Editor's Rating:
User Rating:
Good: The LG Esteem runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, taps into MetroPCS' 4G LTE network, and has an impressive pair of front-and-rear-facing cameras.
Bad: Bulky and heavy, the LG Esteem's worst offense is its poor battery life. Its slow data speeds keep it from working well outside of MetroPCS' 4G LTE territory.
Bottom Line: Specs-wise, the LG Esteem is MetroPCS' fastest and most advanced phone, but its dismal battery life is a terrible disservice. [Read more]

User Rating:
Good: The HTC Rhyme boasts a beautiful, compact design. The Android Gingerbread smartphone comes bundled with a number of accessories, including a handy desktop dock.
Bad: The Rhyme's purple color and cell phone charm won't be for everyone. Camera quality could be better.
Bottom Line: Though certain aspects of the phone limit its appeal to a larger audience, the HTC Rhyme is a solid and stylish midrange Android device that comes with some nice accessories. [Read more]
