Good: Nokia's Here Maps app has good local search, directions for driving, walking, and public transit, and a great way to save locations in collections.
Bad: There is no visual component like Street View or 3D views. The app bumps you to Safari for full reviews of locations. The app feels like a Web-based option.
Bottom Line: The Here Maps app does a pretty good job with most of what you would want in a navigation app, but various issues and a lack of visual options like Street View make it only a passable substitute for what is already available. [Read more]

Drobo Mini

User Rating:
Good: The Drobo Mini is compact, can host four drives with dynamic storage scalability and protection, supports both Thunderbolt and USB 3.0, and offers an excellent drive bay design.
Bad: The Drobo Mini is very expensive, comparatively slow, hot, noisy, takes a long time to start up and overall proves to be a cumbersome storage device to use.
Bottom Line: The esoteric Drobo Mini seems unique mostly for being unique's sake, and offers very little in terms of usability considering its crazily high cost. [Read more]

Good: The Kobo Glo is a lightweight, WiFi-enabled e-reader that has an impressive front-lit, high-res e-ink display with a touch-screen interface. It also features an expansion slot for additional memory, supports EPUB files, and is compatible with any e-book store that uses the Adobe DRM format.
Bad: Kobo's selection of e-books lags behind Amazon's and Barnes & Noble's. Loading library loaners and third-party e-book purchases requires tethering to a PC.
Bottom Line: The Kobo Glo is an excellent Kindle alternative, especially for readers seeking EPUB compatibility and international options. [Read more]

User Rating:
Good: The Beats by Dr. Dre Pill is a portable Bluetooth speaker with striking design, good sound and volume for its size, decent battery life, and speakerphone capabilities. It has tap-to-pair capabilities for NFC-enabled smartphones phones, Apt-X technology, and line inputs and outputs. It also comes with a nice carrying case.
Bad: The Pill is somewhat pricey, and Apple iOS 6 users may encounter an unacceptable amount of Bluetooth hiccuping. The speaker doesn't acquit itself terribly well with big bass tracks from artists like Dr. Dre.
Bottom Line: The Beats Pill outperforms the Jawbone Jambox and has a couple of intriguing extra features, but Apple iOS 6 users may encounter some problems. [Read more]

Good: Easy to set up, the Sony PlayStation Move Racing Wheel delivers precision steering in racing games. The handles fold out, turning the wheel into motorcycle handlebars.
Bad: You must have the Move motion controller system to use the Move Racing Wheel. You can't charge the Move baton without removing it from the wheel.
Bottom Line: Despite a couple of limitations, the Sony Move Racing Wheel performs well, delivering a good sense of steering a car in racing games, and is much easier to set up than a full racing wheel. [Read more]
