Good: Turntable.fm has a huge music catalog and a unique platform for discovering and sharing music.
Bad: The process for editing playlists is unnecessarily difficult. App sometimes force closes.
Bottom Line: An awesome music catalog and unique overall listening experience overshadow Turntable.fm's performance and interface flaws. Music lovers should definitely give it a try. [Read more]

Good: The 3M Streaming Projector features an integrated Roku Streaming Stick in its compact, handheld design. It has built-in dual-band Wi-Fi and essentially the full functionality of a standalone Roku box, including streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon Instant, Hulu Plus, MLB.TV, Vudu and HBO Go. There's also a built-in rechargeable battery, making it truly portable.
Bad: The built-in battery only lasts for a little over 1.5 hours. And while image quality is watchable, the resolution is limited to DVD-quality and the picture could be brighter.
Bottom Line: The 3M Streaming Projector packs the full power of a Roku box in a pico projector, making for an undeniably cool gadget, even with its limited battery life. [Read more]

Bad: Setting up the Samsung AllShare Cast Hub isn't intuitive. The device only supports a few recent Samsung devices.
Bottom Line: The Samsung AllShare Cast Hub is worthwhile only for select Samsung mobile device owners absolutely dying to view mobile content on their HDTVs. [Read more]

Good: The incredibly inexpensive TCL L40FHDP60 40-inch LCD TV offers deeper blacks and better shadow detail than I expect at this price. Colors are bold and well-saturated. The TV boasts decent off-axis viewing and its picture holds up well in a bright room.
Bad: Colors have a blue tinge that cannot be cured by the paltry adjustments possible. Some shadow detail can become crushed and the TV's brightness isn't uniform across its screen.
Bottom Line: Entirely acceptable picture quality makes the TCL L40FHDP60 a dirt-cheap LCD TV done right. [Read more]

Good: The Pegasus J2 portable Thunderbolt drive is very fast, optionally bus-powered, compact, and offers RAID configurations.
Bad: The Pegasus J2 is expensive, doesn't include USB 3.0 or a Thunderbolt cable, and requires a power adapter to offer top speed.
