Good: The 2013 Dodge Dart's Italian underpinnings mean a multilink rear suspension and disc brakes all around. At 8.4 inches, the touch screen is huge, while the Garmin navigation software gives excellent guidance.
Bad: The 1.4-liter engine option comes with a lot of turbo lag. The Garmin software theme clashes with that of the stereo and phone screens in the car.
Bottom Line: Dodge gives the 2013 Dart an excellent cabin tech suite, impressive for a compact car, but uneven acceleration makes the 1.4-liter engine upgrade a questionable choice. [Read more]

Good: The Panasonic SC-MC07 is a Bluetooth wireless speaker with an eye-catching, UFO-like design. It runs on AA batteries or can be powered by a USB cable. It plays louder than its size would indicate.
Bad: Not much bass (sounds thin), no line input for non-Bluetooth devices, and should have a rechargeable battery at this price point.
Bottom Line: The Panasonic SC-MC07 is cool-looking portable Bluetooth speaker, but there are competing products at this price point that sound slightly better and offer better features, including a built-in rechargeable battery. [Read more]

Good: Asus' Vivo Tab RT features the Windows RT's elegant and refreshing user interface, has a bright and rich screen, and is equipped with a keyboard dock for maximizing productivity.
Bad: The Vivo Tab RT's keyboard is cramped, its operating system takes some time to get used to, and both its app store and Desktop interface are severely limited.
Bottom Line: With its vivid screen, sturdy build, and sleek user interface, the Asus Vivo Tab RT is an excellent tablet in its own right -- but it can't beat the innovative Microsoft Surface RT. [Read more]

Good: The Nikon Coolpix S800c is a good-looking point-and-shoot running on Android with a nice touch screen, Wi-Fi, GPS, and full access to the Google Play store and all the apps and content you'd find on other Android devices.
Bad: The S800c feels like a camera with an Android smartphone tacked on, and a slow and old one at that. Battery life is very short. Photo quality isn't any better than its far less expensive line mate, the Coolpix S6300.
Bottom Line: The Nikon Coolpix S800c marries an above-average point-and-shoot with the functionality of an Android device with mixed results. [Read more]

Good: The Motorola S11-Flex HD is lightweight, wireless, sweat resistant, and comes with lots of ways to adjust its fit. The headset also charges quickly.
Bad: The S11-Flex HD is tricky to strap on and delivers mediocre call and audio quality.
Bottom Line: Motorola's S11-Flex HD makes for a great workout companion but phone calls aren't its strength. [Read more]

JBL Micro Wireless

Good: The JBL Micro Wireless Bluetooth speaker is a compact, hockey-puck-size speaker that has a built-in lithium ion rechargeable battery and offers good sound for its size. It also has an integrated line-in cable that stows away in the bottom of the device.
Bad: Doesn't handle big bass well and distorts at higher volumes.
Bottom Line: An attractive form factor and a good feature set give the JBL Micro Wireless a leg up in the tiny wireless speaker competition. [Read more]

Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display (13.3-inch)

User Rating:
Good: The new 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display adds a screen that's nearly as high-res as the 15-inch version, making for incredibly crisp text and images. The slimmer body feels much more modern, and the excellent keyboard and trackpad remain.
Bad: Considering that this looks and feels a lot like the 13-inch MacBook Air, you may be in for a bit of sticker shock, especially as the base model only includes 128GB of SSD storage.
Bottom Line: While the Retina MacBook Pro is easily the most desirable 13-inch Mac laptop to date, the high price and lack of discrete graphics make it a tough call versus either the more powerful 15-inch Retina Pro or the more affordable 13-inch Air. [Read more]
