Good: The 13-inch MacBook Air has new Intel CPUs, better battery life, an improved 720p Webcam, and finally adds USB 3.0 ports, while shaving $100 off the price from last year's models.
Bad: The design, while strong, stays largely the same: there's no Ethernet port, and the base SSD storage option of 128GB is smaller than a standard hard drive, though common for ultrabooks.
Bottom Line: This year's MacBook Air opts for gradual improvements rather than anything revolutionary, but lowered prices continue to make it the go-to mainstream recommendation for any MacBook owner-to-be. [Read more]

Good: The Jabra Supreme UC powerfully merges corporate and cellular voice communication. Its noise cancellation and voice command features are top-notch.
Bad: At $149, the Jabra Supreme UC is pricey compared with other headsets with similar features, and is large when its mic boom is unfurled. The device lacks Mac support.
Bottom Line: The Jabra Supreme UC isn't cheap, but it delivers excellent performance and a great way to chat hands-free over cellular and PC telephone systems. [Read more]

Logitech Squeezebox Touch

Good: The Logitech Squeezebox Touch is a fully featured music-streaming device with wide file compatibility -- better than Sonos -- and support for most popular music-streaming services. The Touch seamlessly blends multiple home and online sources, making building playlists a snap. The free tablet and smartphone apps are powerful and easy to use. Sound quality is surprisingly good from the analog outs, and will scale well with outboard digital converters.
Bad: The device can sometimes freeze up or suffer lag, especially with a wireless connection. It's more complicated to use than the plug-and-play Sonos. The app is a little ugly compared with those made by Spotify and Sonos. The touch screen is less useful in conjuction with a tablet. Most users will need to leave a PC or NAS on all the time.
Bottom Line: The Logitech Squeezebox is an excellent digital-music device that offers good sound quality and a great variety of source options, but it's not for casual users. [Read more]

Grooveshark Bluetooth Car Kit for Android (by Livio Radio)

Good: The Grooveshark Bluetooth Car Kit is flexible, with an easily positioned neck and multiple connection methods so it can act as a bridge between a smartphone and a car's stereo. The Kit also gives control over the functions of the Grooveshark app for Android and includes three months of free service.
Bad: Although the Kit can handle hands-free calling, its performance was unimpressive. The Grooveshark app was buggy and slow to respond to inputs from the Kit.
Bottom Line: The Grooveshark Bluetooth Car Kit isn't the best hands-free calling option and its app integration needs finessing, but the hardware is an easy way to bring Internet radio and smartphone audio playback to almost any car. [Read more]
