Posted: 21 Aug 2012 12:13 AM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: With Trapit you can browse the Web just for the keywords and subjects you want. You can train the app to give you quality results. Bad: Sometimes the app chooses the wrong images, which can be confusing. It takes several taps to get to a story. Bottom Line: Trapit is a fun and mostly efficient way to find information on subjects that interest you. Instead of searching for stories, you can simply browse the latest news on the topics you like. [Read more] |
Nike Lunar Hyperdunk+ 2012 (Black/Metallic Silver) Posted: 20 Aug 2012 10:40 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Nike Lunar Hyperdunk+ sports shoes help serious basketball players track performance stats and their NikeFuel score. The iPhone app is slickly designed and engagingly presented. Bad: At $250, the Lunar Hyperdunk+ shoes are expensive, even if Lebron James endorses them. The Bluetooth motion sensors have a flaky wireless connection, and these shoes aren't pretty. Bottom Line: Unless you're a hard-core basketball player, or shoe nut, the Nike Lunar Hyperdunk+ shoe feels like more of a gimmick, and a pricey one at that. [Read more] |
Posted: 20 Aug 2012 08:37 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Wilson Electronics Sleek 4G-V will deliver a usable cell phone signal in areas with poor carrier coverage. It has a compact and sturdy design. Bad: Smaller phones won't fit in the Sleek 4G-V's cradle. The design can be clunky, and you'll need to follow a lot of guidelines when setting it up. Bottom Line: If you have the cash and can master the design, the Wilson Electronics Sleek 4G-V delivers the strong signal your cell phone needs. [Read more] |
Posted: 20 Aug 2012 07:14 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Samsung ES6500 is a decent performer with excellent design and a good mix of features. Colors are fairly accurate and vibrant. Shadow detail is very good, lending weight and texture to images. Bad: Black levels are not up to par with the model it replaces, and uniformity is fairly bad. Bottom Line: The Samsung UNES6500 is a well-featured midrange television with good color but otherwise ho-hum picture quality and value. [Read more] |

Canon PowerShot A2400 IS (Pink) Posted: 20 Aug 2012 04:18 PM PDT Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Canon PowerShot A2400 IS and PowerShot A2300 have very good picture quality for their class and are loaded with effects and filters. Bad: The cameras' flat buttons and cramped layout may make use difficult for some and shooting performance is slow, particularly shot-to-shot. The lenses require a lot of light or high ISOs when zoomed in. Battery life is short. Bottom Line: The entry-level Canon PowerShot A2400 IS and its IS-less linemate the A2300 are simple cameras with nice picture quality for casual snapshooters, but the price difference isn't worth sacrificing the image stabilization.
