There's a 1.3-megapixel camera for video chats. Bad: There's a pronounced camera shutter lag on the Nitro HD, and the battery drained faster than it should have. Bottom Line: With its gorgeous display, high-def everything, and 4G speeds, the LG Nitro HD has what it takes to compete; however, a few flaws keep it from trampling the competition. [Read more] |

Bad: Either a 7-inch tablet or an on-contract Android smartphone would be more useful and potentially less expensive. Parents should know there are no safeguards included to restrict access to age-inappropriate content. Bottom Line: Samsung delivers Android's answer to the iPod Touch at a time when you can spend less for Android's answer to the iPad. [Read more] |

Bad: Print speeds are slower than average, and the lack of autoduplexing means more time and paper wasted. Bottom Line: The HP LaserJet Pro 100 is a solid color laser printer for personal use, but the high cost of consumables, slow print speeds, and missing features limit its productivity for home offices. Bad: The keyboard dock is a pain to connect or disconnect; you can't simply fold it shut like a laptop; and there's no touch pad, only a trackpoint stick. Bottom Line: The Acer Iconia Tab W500 works in several potentially good ideas, undone by half-baked physical design that makes it needlessly frustrating to use. [Read more] |
