Poll: Are you buying new hardware in 2010? Posted: 09 Apr 2010 10:19 AM PDT On Friday, Forrester updated its 2010 outlook for global and U.S. IT spending. Forester predicts U.S. IT spending of 8.4 percent, up from the company’s previous estimate of 8.1 percent. Spending globally will be down slightly to 7.7 percent. According to Forrester’s report (excerpt): Computer equipment and software will be the strongest product categories, with PCs, peripherals, and storage equipment leading the computer category and operating system software and applications setting the pace for software.
