52 Worst Photoshop Mistakes In Magazines Posted: 02 Apr 2010 08:14 AM PDT By: Dibakar Jana We love Photoshop because it’s one of the most useful photo-editing applications for both web and print designs. With some fair amount of knowledge, you can manipulate any photo and turn them into anything you want. Few of our previous articles (human photo manipulation, animal photo manipulation) are great examples of what Photoshop is capable of.
However when Photoshop falls in the hand of careless designers, poor jobs are created. Obvious flaws are missed and when designs are printed it leads to laughter and sometimes embarrassments. In today’s article, we’d like to show you the worst of Photoshop flaws in magazines, things that slipped editors’ eyes. The next time you flipped through a magazine, take a closer look, you might spot one if you are lucky.
Missing leg. We love Veronica Kay, but the missing leg is not sexy. Text overlapping. Designer forgotten to wip the milk off the hand? Chopped off hand. Bad Photoshop smudging. Last we count, there are 5 hands in total? Hand on shoulder. She is not alone. Bad cut. Too much of the eraser tool. Do you know Brad Pitt’s adopted son has an evil twin? Bad merge, now we’ve got more players on the field. Double trouble. Bad magazine removal and a typo. Wrong hands. Look how they put their hands together. One of the leg is just not right. Where’s daddy? It looks like daddy was removed, but the hand remains. High School Musical 2 with extra hands. Unprofessional work. A 2 dollars not worth spending for. Julianne Moore with a weird shoulder. Bad image reflection from Apple. It’s probably impossible to turn the head like that? Three hands with two thumbs up. Stationary Bemmer caught spinning. Yet another extra hands mistake. Would like to see how the head looks like when green label is removed. Something’s wrong with the leg. Someone’s hiding but hands are exposed. Reflection at a lower storage capacity. Nice models, bad Photoshop job. References and more
