Good: Google Maps for iOS has a brilliant interface, turn-by-turn directions, and Street View. Location search is accurate, and the points-of-interest is extensive.
Bad: There's no dedicated iPad app. The 3D satellite view requires switching to the Google Earth app, and some aspects of the interface aren't immediately obvious
Bottom Line: With its iOS Maps app, Google sets the standard for what mobile navigation should be and more. [Read more]

Good: Slacker Radio offers powerful Pandora-like radio and over 200 curated stations. Paid users get on-demand listening as well.
Bad: Slacker's video, audio, and banner ads are intrusive.

User Rating:
Good: The Samsung Galaxy Express runs on 4G LTE, has good call quality, and a decent 5-megapixel camera.
Bad: The Galaxy Express is preloaded with too much bloatware and its screen has a bluish hue at certain angles.
Bottom Line: With its reasonable $100 price tag, AT&T's Galaxy Express' solid performance and respectable specs are a good deal -- but pass it up if you want a more powerful camera. [Read more]

Good: The Duracell Powermat 24-Hour Power System charges phones without messy wires. The light, compact kit includes a useful portable battery for power on the go.
Bad: Powermat technology is not currently built into any phones, and cases are available for only two handsets. The Power System only charges two devices at once.
Bottom Line: The Duracell Powermat 24-Hour Power System is great for keeping two gadgets powered all day, but is best suited for iPhone 4 and Samsung Galaxy S3 owners. [Read more]

User Rating:
Good: The Beats by Dr. Dre Executive noise-canceling headphones have a sleek, sturdy design, fit comfortably, offer good sound for noise-canceling headphones, and come with two cords, one of which has an inline remote with microphone.
Bad: They're expensive and a bit heavy, and there's a faint hiss with noise cancellation activated, and noise cancellation must be activated to get sound.
Bottom Line: The Beats by Dr. Dre Executive noise-canceling headphones have an appealing design, strong features, and good sound, but they don't quite measure up to the Bose QuietComfort C15 noise-canceling headphones. [Read more]

Bad: They don't fold flat for compact storage.
Bottom Line: It's true that Sony's MDR-1R headphones come with a lofty price tag, but if you're searching for highly accurate-sounding headphones with style and substance, they deserve your attention. [Read more]

Good: PicFX is a great option for adding effects, then layering them for some really cool results. The interface is very easy to use.
Bad: The app crashes when trying to open an image in another app (but works with Instagram). There are no basic editing tools.
Bottom Line: Despite some minor issues, Picfx is a great app for adding effects to your images. It offers a simple way to browse effects from multiple categories and lets you stack effects and styles to give you a large number of possibilities. [Read more]
