Good: Qmadix's Iharmonix Q-i-sound provides real wireless stereo over Bluetooth. Its speakers are compact and light, plus they come with a handy travel case.
Bad: For a pricey $149.99, the sound quality doesn't impress. The power adapter is bulky, you can't connect older gadgets, and the Q-i-sound uses a proprietary power jack.
Bottom Line: With real wireless stereo, the Qmadix Iharmonix Q-i-sound lets you cut the cord, but for a high price and with a less-than-desirable design. [Read more]

Good: The Virgin Mobile Venture has a solid build, decent call and audio quality, some useful preloaded apps, and impressive data speeds.
Bad: The Venture's camera quality is poor, its processor is slow as molasses, the resolution is low, and the keyboard is frustratingly tiny.
Bottom Line: The Virgin Mobile Venture is an entry-level smartphone that carries out basic tasks reliably, but with low-spec hardware and a pokey processor. [Read more]

Good: The Samsung Chromebox offers an attractive, low-risk entry point to the experimental world of Google's Chrome OS.
Bad: Absent features and occasional software and hardware incompatibilities mar a supposedly simple user experience.
Bottom Line: The attractive, fairly priced Samsung Chromebox desktop turns Google's Web-based Chrome OS into a not entirely unreasonable option for certain low-cost PC shoppers. [Read more]

Good: The 2012 Samsung Chromebook Series 5 550 has more RAM, an improved Chrome OS, and a faster processor than the previous version.
Bad: A relatively high price, the need to always be online, and the general limitations of the Chrome OS make it tough to recommend this Chromebook over a less expensive laptop or tablet.
Bottom Line: Despite solid hardware and a slightly improved Chrome OS, the Samsung Chromebook Series 5 550 comes with far too many caveats and compromises compared with similarly priced but more-capable tablets and laptops. [Read more]

Asus VG23AH

Good: Given its IPS panel tech, the Asus VG23AH comes with a surprisingly low price tag. It also sports wide viewing angles and great movie performance. Its useful ergonomic features and dual HDMI ports round out an affordable package.
Bad: The passive 3D performance is bad, with terrible ghosting and shallow depth. The build quality feels a bit plasticky, too, and the swivel feature feels a bit stiff.
Bottom Line: The Asus VG23AH nails it in price, features, and 2D performance, but falls flat on its screen in 3D. [Read more]
