Good: The LG Marquee has a svelte and ultralight design that complements its stunning Nova display. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi. Call quality is great.
Bad: I don't dig the LG Marquee's sluggish performance and oddball Mobile ID customization feature.
Bottom Line: The LG Marquee's slim design and jam-packed feature set make it Boost Mobile's flagship phone. But its high price (even without a contract) and slow processor will make it a tough sell. [Read more]

Sony HMZ-T1 personal 3D viewer

Good: It's fun! Whether it's for gaming or movies, the Sony HMZ-T1 is one of the best 3D displays on the market with zero crosstalk. Based on OLED technology, the headset is capable of deep, deep black levels, and whether it's 2D or 3D, all images have surprising amounts of depth.
Bad: The headset is heavy and becomes quite uncomfortable with extended use. It's not possible to get the whole screen in focus at once, resulting in blurring at the edges. The effects of its lower resolution are apparent: detail levels aren't up there with an equivalently priced television, and pixel structure is visible.
Bottom Line: While the Sony HMZ-T1 personal headset is capable of some of the best 3D effects I've ever seen, it's uncomfortable to wear for extended periods and images suffer from blurriness. [Read more]

Good: The GoGear Connect 3 puts Android in your pocket for a relatively low price.
Bad: The GoGear Connect 3 has poor screen quality, a slow processor, no memory expansion, no cameras, no video output, and no GPS capabilities.
Bottom Line: The Philips GoGear Connect 3 is a fun idea, cut short by cheap specs and a relatively high price. [Read more]

Good: The Canon PowerShot ELPH 100 HS is a very good value, offering good photo and video quality outside and indoors, lots of fun shooting modes, and decent shooting performance for its class.
Bad: The 100 HS' photos look soft, even at lower ISOs, and its autofocus is regularly inaccurate.
Bottom Line: If you're after an inexpensive ultracompact with good low-light photos, the Canon PowerShot ELPH 100 HS is one to get. But you'd better act fast. [Read more]
